So much happened in July!
Wow, what a busy July we’ve had! We’ve got so much news to share with you. Are you ready? Hang on tight!
Anke and Ron left the lodge mid July to head back to Australia and spend some time with Luke for a few weeks. Being away from the lodge only means they work behind the scenes to prepare for new projects and developments!
Meanwhile, we’ve welcomed a steady stream of guests, and our lovely staff has been busy ensuring they have a fantastic experience.
The feedback we’re receiving has been excellent – thank you to all of you who stayed with us so far this year!
New Smiles at the Lodge
We’re excited to present Paige Swanepoel and Will Riley who have both joined us recently. Paige is working in reservations and social media. While Will is going to be our “in-house” photographer for the next three months.
Joanna visits us for the 9th time!
Joanna is Ron’s cousin. She’s bound to a wheelchair after a life-changing accident while in the military. But this hasn’t stopped her, and certainly not from coming on safari.
This year treated her with this stunning sighting of a pair of male lions, with curious giraffes in the background (this was taken at Three Rivers Camp).
We were super excited to host five amazing travel photographers and bloggers at Kafunta River Lodge. They flooded social media with stunning images and impressions of South Luangwa and Zambia!
We’re also discussing the Wildes Sambia podcast series for those of you speaking German and the launch of our new website page about South Luangwa. It is packed with great information and a must read if you’re planning a safari in this park.
In this newsletter, we also let you indulge in a series of beautiful images taken by our staff (Paige, Will, Solomon) and some of our guests. More photos, and less chatter!
